Th
e Monroe County Youth Football Association has been giving the youth of Monroe County the opportunity to learn about football and cheerleading for over 30 years.
MCYFA works in partnership with MCCSC and RBB to provide safe fields for our games. The games are scheduled for Sunday afternoon and one weeknight each week.
The Monroe County Youth Football Association divides players into three separate age groups to offer the following options for participants (for the 2012 season):
*Intro Flag League - Players learn the fundamentals of the game in a non-contact setting and have lots of fun! All players practice together and are divided into squads for scrimmages.
* AFL – This is a full-contact team sport. Football fundamentals are stressed in an environment of fun and competition. Regular season games are followed by a post-season tournament.This is a full-contact team sport. Football fundamentals are stressed in an environment of fun and competition. *NFL – A full-contact team sport where football fundamentals are still stressed but the level of competition is raised. Regular season games are followed by a post-season tournament.
