MOCYFA Board Minutes for April 7, 2010

Attendees:
Greg Turner, Karen Brown, Danny Shields, Kathy Shields, Keith Long, Kevin Clark, Jim Anderson, Tad Brown

Minutes for March  meeting were read and approved

Committee updates:
Finance – No updates
Coaching – Coaches meeting July 11th at 5pm place to be determine. Having a penalty for coaches that don’t attend mandatory meeting which would be losing round one of the draft pick.
Concessions – Vendors will come to the next meeting 
Equipment – no updates.

Old Business:
Separate duties of the board.

New Business:
Increasing fees 20.00 to off set the cost of concessions
Camp will be July 19-22. Age group is third to six grade. Cost is $50.00 which includes a tee-shirt. Time 8-noon.

Schedule updates:
Registration will be July 12 for returning players. July 13 for new players.
We will be at the Monroe County Fair the week of July 26.
August 2 first week of practice. Practice will be Monday thru Thursday and Saturday, for two weeks only. Once school starts practice will be two a week.
Jamboree will be August 21st (place to be discussed at next meeting.
First game Wednesday August 25
Session will end Oct 17
Championship October 31 
Danny Shields will do the schedule for the referees

Jim Anderson has come up with an idea for MOCYFA to communicate with the former players parents though an email which will high light the upcoming events for the program, give parents a chance to pre register kids and tell about the up coming football camp.  This new form will already be filled out with the previous information on file, a place for parents to make correction, playing location populated already*New* asking for current grade school information. Only players that did not pay in 2009 will need to bring a report card. School attending will be populated bottom will stay the same except the fees will change.
